Schools & Children
We welcome school group visits to Nutcote, the Home and Gardens of May Gibbs, creator of The Complete Adventures of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.
Nutcote is situated at 5 Wallaringa Avenue, Neutral Bay – 15 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay.
Nutcote is open Wednesday to Sunday from 11.00 am – 3.00 pm
You should allow a minimum of 1½ hours for your tour of the House and Gardens. If you have ordered refreshments you will need to allow additional time. Additional time is required for groups of 15 or more.
Admission and Charges
Please note that a group visit to Nutcote is limited to a maximum of 60 persons. The admission price is $3.00 per child and $5.00 per Adult. (Teachers/Carers are admitted free, up to a ratio of 15:1 children in their care. Thereafter an admission charge of $5.00 per person applies). The price includes a video presentation, conducted tour of Nutcote and access to the gardens.
Nutcote Gift Shop
Our Gift Shop specialises in May Gibbs related merchandise including books, gifts and souvenirs.
Nutcote volunteers can provide a light lunch, tea, coffee and cold drinks at the Bib & Bub Tea Room. Please ensure that you confirm your refreshment requirements when booking.
Getting to Nutcote by Public Transport
Nestled on the harbour at Neutral Bay, Nutcote is easily accessible by public transport with regular ferry services from Circular Quay. Nutcote is signposted from Neutral Bay (Hayes Street) Ferry Wharf. Please check ferry timetable for Sunday service when a restricted service operates.
