Saturday 1st September from 5 pm till 7:30 in the gardens at Nuctote.
Celebrate the first day of Spring and the 100th Anniversary of the Wattle Babies at May Gibbs Nutcote.
In doing so we honour May Gibbs’ love of Australia’s bush heritage with Australian botanical cocktails, bush tucker canapes and music which harkens back to the time when Nutcote was built. The Cocktails have been created by Vantage Australia’s Cocktail Ambassador using their infused botanical spirits especially to raise a glass to May Gibbs, the glory that is Nutcote at sunset and the first day of Spring.
The evening will also feature millinery created by students of the Costume Course of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). In the spirit of the wearing of Spring Bonnets the students have created 1920’s hats that are inspired by the time that May built Nutcote and the creation of her Flower Babies.
Please note that this is an event for guests over the age of 18 and that evenings on the edge of the harbour can be cool when the sun goes down.
Tickets are $55 per person
